The Zuccolo Rochet Company was established in Geneva and Annecy in 1917. The brand was founded by Joseph Rochet and Edmond Zuccolo. In 1947 the brand expanded into watch straps, watch cases and jewelry. During the 1950s, ZRC was one of the few companies capable of making full in-house watch cases and straps. The brand created the famous Grands Fonds 300M watch in 1953 which was used by the French Navy from 1963 to 1974. During the 1980s, the production moved to Hong-Kong. In 2014 the brand took a fresh start and in 2015 the Grands Fonds watch was reintroduced. The new Grands Fonds 300 has a hexagonal steel case, a crown at six o’clock, a black bezel with large lume dots and is rated to 30 atm. The crown is located at six so that it prevents divers from accidents because if the crown is not screwed down properly, divers will immediately notice it.
