HYT was founded by Lucien Vouillamoz who has always wanted to reinvent the clepsydra in a wristwatch. In 2002 the brand launched its first investigations into a watch with a fluidic time display. In 2010, Patrick Berdoz, Lucien Vouillamoz, Emmanuel Savioz and Vincent Perriard worked together on this watch which was released in 2012 and called the “H1”. One year later, the brand introduced the H2 and in 2015 three new collections: H3, Skull and H4. For example, the H4 Metropolis featured a micro-generator which is able to convert mechanical energy into light so that the time can be read in the dark.
