HUBLOT

Hublot was founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco, a founder, and Jean-Claude Biver, the man who made Hublot famous. Hublot means ‘porthole” in French and at first, Hublot used to be a watchmaker which mastered the art of fusion. The fusion of materials like carbon fiber, fine ceramics and waterproof rubber was at the heart of the brand’s philosophy. The Hublot watches were the first luxury watches to feature a natural rubber strap. Jean-Claude Biver became Hublot’s CEO in 2004 and he quickly made the brand very famous and prosperous. He launched the “Big Bang” collection a year later which was a huge success for the brand. The Big Bang settled a new trend for watches since it was a big sporty watch (44mm). In 2008, the brand was bought by LVMH and other models like the Hublot King Power of the Classic Fusion became icons too.
