CHOPARD

Chopard was founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysee Chopard in Switzerland. Louis-Ulysse was a watchmaker who settled his L.U.C manufacture in Switzerland in Sonvilier. After his death, his son and his grandson took the company over. In 1988, Chopard started working with the Mille Miglia legendary vintage car rally and released the first version of the Mille Miglia watch. Those watches were sporty watches merging the word of automobiles with the world of high-quality watches. Still today the Mille Migla are considered as true icons in the watchmaking industry. In 2003 Chopard announced an in-house Tourbillon, the caliber L.U.C 02.01. The L.U.C collection is dedicated to classic watches featuring great complications whereas the Mille Miglia is a sporty collection aimed at sportsmen. The women collections like the Imperiale or the Happy Diamonds Collection demonstrate Chopard’s outstanding know-how in terms of jewellery.
