CERTINA

Certina is a Swiss brand founded in 1888 by Adolf and Alfred Kurth. In 1936 the brand unveiled the first digital watch without any hand! In 1938, Certina was already a famous watchmaking brand with 250 employees. A few years later, in 1955, the company had 500 employees and produced 1000 watches each day. At the end of the year 1978, the headquarters moved to Bienne to join the group Edox & Technos. A few years later the headquarter moved again to Le Locle to create a new company with the brands Mido and Tissot. The most famous watches belong to the DS collection which are made of great materials like sapphire glass, titanium, 316L stainless steel and Swiss ETA calibers.
