BAUME & MERCIER

Baume & Mercier was founded in 1830 by Célestin and Louis-Victor Baume. At that time the brand was called “Frères Baume”. The brand became famous at the end of the 19thcentury and won several clockmaking prizes. In 1918 the brand became Baume & Mercier and started producing wristwatches. Baume & Mercier wristwatches were not conventional since they did not have a traditional round case. The brand launched a lot of different collection during the 1940’s and became a settled brand in the watchmaking industry. In 2018 the brand launched a new caliber, the Baumatic which is dedicated to Baume & Mercier finest watches.
