AWAKE is French brand founded by two watch lovers Lilian and Fred. They wanted to create high quality and well-designed watches made from recycled materials. The company was launched in 2018 thanks to a great Kickstarter campaign. The first collection “Origins” featured a Japanese solar movement, a recycled stainless steel case and a strap made from recycled plastic bottles. In 2019, AWAKE unveiled a brand new watch. The watch was presented by president Emmanuel Macron at the G7 summit and was given to all presidents who attended to summit. The watch still features a Japanese solar movement but its case is made of recycled fishnets collected in the sea.
