Jacob & Co was founded by Jacob Arabo, a jeweler in Manhattan. The brand Jacob & Co was created in 1986 and it was originally only dedicated to jewelry. In 2002 the brand started to create luxury watches. The first watch, the Five Time Zone Watch, was a success as it incorporated five separate time displays. In 2006 the brand introduced the Quenttin, a 31-day power reserve watch. The watch featured seven barrels and a vertical tourbillon. In 2007 the brand unveiled the GMT watch and a few years later, in 2013, the Epic SF24 watch. This watch was able to display 24 time zones as the same time. The digital Ghost watch was unveiled the same year with five windows displaying 20 time zones. In 2013, Cristiano Ronaldo became one of the brand’s ambassador, only one year before the release of the Astronomia Tourbillon. This watch was a masterpiece since its movement was a reproduction of the earth and the moon. A triaxial tourbillon represented the sun and the moon was represented by a diamond.
