CHRISTOPHE CLARET

Christophe Claret is a French watchmaker born in 1962 in Lyon. At first Christophe Claret specialized himself in the creation of high-quality calibres. In 1989 he launched his first movement the CLA88, a minute repeater. A few years later in 1991, the brand became Christophe Claret SA. In 1997, Christophe Claret wanted to celebrate the 10th birthday of his company so he unveiled a new collection inspired by Antoine Favre’s work. In 1999, Christophe Claret bought a mansion in Le Locle and established his company there. Thanks to an innovative process, Christophe Claret introduced a brand new Tourbillon Orbital in 2000 featuring ball bearings. The brand’s story was already linked to great complications at that very moment. A few years later in 2004 Christophe Claret launched the Tourbillon Glissière which was used by the brand Harry Winston. In 2009 Christophe Claret released the DualTow, an innovative watch with the logo Christophe Claret and a transparent dial to display the outstanding calibre. Today Christophe Claret is a famous independent watchmaker who keeps on producing great complications at a competitive price.
