CHANEL

Chanel was founded by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in the early 20th century. The wristwatch department opened in 1987, almost 80 years after the main division. The first watch launched by Chanel was the Première which remains very famous nowadays. A few years later, in 1995, Chanel launched another watch for women, the Matelasse. Nevertheless, Chanel’s most famous collection was released in 2000. The J12 collection remains Chanel’s iconic collection today both for men and women. The J12 collection has evolved throughout time thanks to different materials (ceramic, stainless steel, diamonds), different complications (GMT, diver, tourbillon) and movements (quartz, automatic).
